I’m not 100% sure where I took the photos in the folder 04-29-07, but my best guess is Ada Hayden. Next Saturday’s walk down Memory Lane will involve more deer!

Took this photo of Naima as we were cruising for one of our walks on the backside of McHose Park. I don’t recommend you attempt this photo, unless you are as skilled of a driver as I am. Just sayin’… Great hands also help. Big hands wouldn’t hurt either. PARTICULARS… Read More »Car Ride!
A picture of Karma, some flower pictures, and a Thomas Merton quote is what I found in the folder named 04-18-07. Looks like deer photos will be the feature in the next walk down my memory lane.
I spent a good chunk of a couple of my vacation days doing yard work. While I was moving my woodpile, I came across this fascinating creature. I just wish that we would’ve gotten to know each other better. PARTICULARS CAMERA: SONY SLT-A65V ISO: 100 FOCAL LENGTH: 60mm APERTURE: f/5… Read More »Wood Pile Buddy
The collection of images in the folder 04-14-07 includes one of Alexis’ many hamsters, The Chiz’s first Iowa State Spring Game, and lots of squirrel! Next week’s collection will include June and Dean Miller and maybe a tulip.
As I promised, after two days of having to look at disgusting Coca-Cola products, I would reward you with fuzzy cuteness. If I am nothing, I am a man of my word! Fuzzy Cuteness A week or so back, I was in the backyard with my legendary hunting pooch Naima.… Read More »Fuzzy Cuteness
A couple Saturdays back I traveled to America’s crossroads: Colo, Iowa to take place in a turtle race that I have dubbed The Colo Derby. My noble steed Titian dominated the competition, but on that day, it would NOT only be the turtles that smelled fishy. If you get what… Read More »The Colo Derby

Here lieth a few PERSPECTIVE attempts that weren’t quite up to snuff. Such a sad and pathetic bunch. THE CHRISTOPHER D. Recently I picked, trained, and raced a turtle in the Colo Derby. We were quite victorious, as I’m sure time and history will record. Below is a photo of my loyal steed. Some of the other combatants from that day will claim that my turtle did not win. They will… Read More »Titian
This week ended up being something of a rebound week. All the negative emotions that people felt towards EMOTIONS was left behind and they expressed positive emotions towards PERSPECTIVE. I haven’t posted a picture of an animal (besides Naima) for a bit. No worries though. This animal posting will not make any references to the current inane social media debate. I present a ground squirrel… I found this guy scurrying around the Memorial Union. The only one that I… Read More »No Gorilla, Lucky 3 Year-Olds, or Inept Parents
EMOTIONS was a profoundly unpopular theme. I’m sure destined to hit the cutting room floor if this challenge extends into a second year. Maybe it was the holiday weekend. Maybe people were like feelings? Actually feeling something? No thanks! Back to my mass consumerism, thank you very much*. Either way,… Read More »WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – WEEK 37 – EMOTIONS
The collection of COUNTRY losers from the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE isn’t large in size, but the magnitude of their loserness… I’m actually all caught up on my losers now.
The images posted here are from the folder 02-22-07. As promised, there is some squirrel. The next folder is supposed to be 02-28-07, but it seems to be just a bunch of pictures that were already in another folder, so we’ll probably just skip that one and move on.
This folder, entitled SNOW, comes from January of 2007. Next week’s folder is entitled 02-22-07. Probably pretty obvious what is in that folder.
This collection images comes from a folder called “Minnesota”. It is also from January 2006. These were taken on the Mississippi River in Saint Paul. Next Saturday’s folder is entitled “Sculpture Garden”.

I feel like it has been too long since I published a picture of Naima. So I’m going to remedy that: Naima does love new fallen snow. Probably because she doesn’t have to snow.
