Can Upset Stomach If Eaten in High Quantity
This week’s project was to photograph some of my grandma’s chives.

Shannon contacted me about contributing some photos to the wall near her desk at the United Way of Story County office a couple months back.
I was able to get those pictures ordered for her and she got them on the wall a couple weeks back. I don’t have a picture of the wall at this time as I haven’t had a chance to go see it, but here is a general idea of what it looks like:
To see those pictures a tad bit larger:
When I get a chance to see the new Photography 139 Gallery, I will post a photo.
There are a lot fewer tulip pictures this year, both the obvious and the weather played a big part in that. In fact, due to the fact that almost all flowers are blooming a month early this year, I’m pretty sure I will miss out on most of the flowers I try to hit every year.
Oh well, c’est la vie!
Here are the rest of the Still Laughing – 2012 Series.
I didn’t get a chance to photography my grandma’s tulips this year. I also didn’t make my annual road trip to Pella this year. I’m sure both of those things will be on the docket in 2013.
I only had time last year to make a handful of calendars. If you didn’t get a calendar this year, I am sorry. I only had one left and I gave it to Nader because he actually called and asked for one. If somebody begged I suppose I could print another one off, but who would want a calendar that is almost 25% useless?
Here are the images from this years Photography 139 Calendar:
As usual, Mike Vest helped finish up the calendars with his hole punching and binding skills. Thanks Mike!
This project was to take some pictures with the High Contrast Monochrome setting on the Alpha 35. I probably don’t play with this setting enough.

If you are wondering, I don’t know the chick in the last picture in front of Gaslamp. She just walked into the frame of the shot.
This project was to take pictures with the Partial Color (Red) setting on the Alpha 35. Many of these pictures are failed experiments. Although I don’t really think any experiment is actually a failure.
Thomas Edison was once asked if he felt bad for failing on his attempt to make a light bulb a 100 or so times. He said something like, “I didn’t fail making the light bulb 100 times. I learned how not to make a light bulb 100 times.”
Then he went back to electrocuting cats. He was a swell guy, old Tom Edison.

These daffodils were in my Mom’s room in Methodist during Daffodil Days. If you don’t know what Daffodils Days is, let me quote from the American Cancer Society Website:
You can give hope to people facing cancer and save lives by supporting the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days program. The Daffodil Days program is your chance to fight back against cancer by raising funds and awareness to help beat the disease. While the Daffodil Days program involves offering daffodils every spring to donors in appreciation for their contributions, it is about more than just giving beautiful flowers – it is everyone’s opportunity to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays, where cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.
The dollars you raise through the Daffodil Days program do make a difference. Your support allows the American Cancer Society to save lives and create a world with more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against cancer.

These pictures come from: backup/My Pictures/A Scene from the Woods
From now on out these pictures will be digital, for the most part. Therefore the quality of the pictures will be better, but maybe not the quality of the photography.
The pictures in this folder come from the old RMB Photography Picture of the Day email. These were from pictures I would do around Halloween. I had higher aspirations for this set of pictures. I thought I might actually make a still picture movie out of them like Project: Universe, but I quickly lost my motivation and it was never to be. Kind of like Jay and Games 2.
Next week’s folder:
Backup/My Pictures/Animals
My mums bloomed later this year than most mums I saw around town. I think it might be their location in my yard, but it makes me think that when I tear out all the horrible evergreen bushes in my front yard next year that I might replace them with mums. Other flowers of course (maybe some tulips), but definitely some mums. The front of my house definitely needs more flowers. That is for sure.
Here are the rest of the Hush Series.
Next week’s Personal Photo Project might be about a bridge. Or it might be the beginning of my Ten Commandments Project or it might be the beginning of my 99% Project, but that last one is quite the long shot.
