I believe all the flowers in the folder 07-05-07 belonged to Jen and Derrick. Next week’s folder will involve a sword.

This blog has hit a milestone. This is the 2500th post since I started “An Artist’s Notebook” on August 9, 2006. A lot of different things have went through these pages over the last 10+ years, but I hope I’ve stayed true to the original vision I laid down in… Read More »Post No. 2500

I Wrote Her Off for the Tenth Time Today
These pictures didn’t have what it takes to make the cut for the GOVERNMENT theme for this week’s WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: Maybe these pictures aren’t so bad. Maybe if only the believed in themselves.
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – WEEK 76 – GOVERNMENT
GOVERNMENT didn’t really ring a lot of people’s bells, which means it will definitely be back on the menu for the next set of themes. Why? I’m not a quitter. Know What I’m Sayin’?
Here are the MUSIC photos that didn’t have what it takes to be included in this week’s WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE. Thanks for taking the time to help me mock this pathetic collection of losers!
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – WEEK 75 – MUSIC
Most people seem to have adjusted to the new way of things. As participation rates didn’t spike, but they also didn’t fall… too far. But you didn’t come here to listen to me talk all tommyrot about participation rates. You came to see this week’s submissions. Here are the submissions… Read More »WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – WEEK 75 – MUSIC
Sprechen Sie Deutche, Baby – Gamma
I promise, there won’t be so many MUSIC pictures that weren’t up to snuff. Thanks for taking the time to help me mock this pathetic collection of losers!

These pictures were taken near my Mom’s alley. Next Saturday’s folder will involve a southern Boone County road trip I took back in 2007.
WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE REMINDER – MUSIC
I had a request that there be multiple posts about the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE theme from somebody this week because they find it difficult to keep track of the weekly theme. I told this person that Photography 139 isn’t a nanny state and that to do such runs contrary to… Read More »WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE REMINDER – MUSIC
SPRECHEN SIE DEUTCHE, BABY – GAMMA
The remainder of the BLACK & WHITE photos that didn’t make the cut for the WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE from the BLACK & WHITE PHOTO ROAD TRIP. However, it isn’t the end of the rejects: Thanks for taking the time to help me mock this collection of pathetic losers.
Sprechen Sie Deutche, Baby – Beta
I read on Twitter once about a place claiming to be “the most photographed waterfall in Iowa”. Now I don’t know how they document that claim, especially when what they are referring to is actually a spillway, but I suppose water does fall over it. Either way, this “waterfall” was… Read More »Sprechen Sie Deutche, Baby – Beta
