Hey Baby…

“You look like you could be from Kansas.” After seeing the remains of this truck and its license plate, I legitimately think that might be a legit pickup line. Now that I’m through the party, I’ll try to get caught back up with my postings. PARTICULARS CAMERA: SONY SLT-A65V ISO:… Read More »Hey Baby…

Feeling Kansas

I might have processed this image to within an inch of its life. However, it turned out pretty much exactly as I wanted it so. Everybody wins! It feels like I should show you what the original image looked like. But I’m not going to. PARTICULARS CAMERA: SONY SLT-A65V ISO:… Read More »Feeling Kansas

And?

The subject of this here entry is what I’m guessing most people will think or even feel when they look at the photo that makes up the entirety of this here entry. Possible exception, Anders Runestad. At least I enjoy it. Possibly Anders as well. PARTICULARS CAMERA: SONY SLT-A65V ISO:… Read More »And?

Strong City Elevator

On Nate and I’s jaunt from Wichita back to Manhattan we made a stop in Strong City so I could photograph a surprisingly photogenic town. Here is a photo of some rusty goodness: You can take it to the bank, there is more Strong City coming your way! PARTICULARS CAMERA:… Read More »Strong City Elevator

Paisley Park

This last weekend I made a trip up with Nate and Laura to visit Bethany, Dae Hee, Nora, and Colleen. On Saturday night we made our way to Long Lake to eat at Primo. Dae Hee and I left early so we could swing by Paisley Park to see the… Read More »Paisley Park

Pre-Work

There is an old timey hamburger joint in Manhattan (Kansas) that I want to photograph at night at some point. On my recent trip to visit Nate, I was never in Manhattan at night. So it didn’t happen. However, I did scout the area out and took a few test… Read More »Pre-Work

Manhattan Sunset

This is a view of a Manhattan sunset from Manhattan Hill Park. The people of Kansas think very highly of their sunsets. Or so I’ve been told. PARTICULARS CAMERA: SONY SLT-A65V ISO: 160 FOCAL LENGTH: 210mm APERTURE: f/5.6 EXPOSURE: 1/400 DATE: 01/15/2016 – 17:17

John 14:27

I found this barn and its hopeful message along I70 (or as a Kansan might say 70 Interstate) on my recent trip to visit Nate and Laura. I vowed to stop and take a picture of it on my way home. Mission accomplished. While this saying has graced many a… Read More »John 14:27

Kill the Headlights

There aren’t tons of losers from this week’s theme, but there are a few. Here are the losers for STORE: I hope people are having some modicum of success pursuing this week’s theme: GRAFFITI!

KS

I spent the last weekend in Manhattan, Kansas and accomplished all of my goals for that trip: 1. Witness an Iowa State victory. 2. Eat Nate’s cooking. 3. Eat a Varsity Donut. 4. Get to the top of Manhattan Hill. 5. Get to the top of KS Hill. I have… Read More »KS

Corning, New York

Back in August I went on my 2nd ever work trip for the day job. I went to Corning, New York and Mansfield, Pennsylvania with Micky. We had enough down time to crack out the camera a little bit. Very few pictures are from Corning, Iowa. No pictures are from… Read More »Corning, New York
