You may notice that many of the pictures in the future will be watermarked with the logo designed for me by Shawn. Just another feature of the new Store/Gallery.

One more reminder about the new Store/Gallery. Since I’m storing the pictures for “An Artist’s Notebook” there now, you can click on any of these images and see a larger image if you would like.

Also, once you are there you can Tweet the photo. You can Facebook Share the photo. You can even Facebook Like the photo with the handy dandy links provided at the top of the picture. You don’t have to, but you could if you wanted to.

Post 1200

As you may recall, I like to check in on some statistics every 100 posts or so to see how things are doing in popularity. However, this statistical check-in will mark the end of an era. I am officially retiring the Snapshots Gallery and the Artistic Gallery.

The advent of the store has made them obsolete and why bother with galleries where you can’t buy anything, right Andree Jauhari, Marla Gorshe, and Jennifer Wohlgemuth of Minnesota! Right. Right?

Therefore, the only gallery that will remain is the Store. Check it out:

Gallery/Store

So here are the final rankings of the 10 most popular pictures in the Artistic Gallery. For the record, these are heavily skewed by spammers:

Thanks to this group of friends and family for their consistent efforts in aiding me in my photographic pursuits, either through assisting, modeling, inspiring, listening, or just being around a whole lot. I couldn’t do what I do with out them. And so many other people too!

State Fair Results

Now that the State Fair has ran its inevitable course, I can reveal what pictures I entered in the State Fair Photography Salon.

The theme for next week is:

STRENGTH

This is a twist on a theme from last year, so there isn’t a need for a look back.

I don’t want to get arrogant, (since my last attempt was a complete and utter failure) but I will hopefully be on vacation in Minnesota at this time next week. Therefore I will probably not be near a computer and able to publish your submissions. So what will publish at this time next week will just be the theme for the following week. I will publish any submissions later in the week when I return.

The Archives: Edition Thirty

The following images came from:

Backup/Old My Pictures/Real to Life/Black & White

Real to Life was 1 of the many photo “business” names I have considered over the years.

I’m guessing at some point I considered these to be some of my best or most interesting black & white pictures.

Sugar Ray Hiatt

1 of the first black & white pictures I ever took.

This picture was taken with APS. Remember APS? I didn’t think so.

This dead tree was near the Grand Canyon. I always liked the idea of photographing dead trees. Don’t know I’ve ever taken a good picture of a dead tree.
