Slice of Life Vol. 16

I found a few prints tucked away in the box of slides, so I thought I would get them scanned before putting that box of slides away. I believe this picture was taken by Lowell’s grandpa Byron Davis Sr.

Jay Janson

Jay had a million questions about the process before he picked (which was a little strange since he had picked in the past), but once he was on the clock he said it was a tough decision because there were “so many good pictures”. But he arrived at his decision… Read More »Jay Janson

Jason Baier

I think Jason Baier was one of the quickest to choose. He was very assertive when he chose the picture below: Open Mic Night I manipulated this picture with Photoshop quite a bit more than I normally manipulate pictures, but I’m at peace with it.

RWPE #37 – Hope

I’m very excited to announce that there were 3 brand new first time contributors. Shannon Bardole, Angie Dewaard and Geri Derner all contributed photos for the first time ever. Hopefully they will find it addictive and become regular contributors. Here are this week’s submissions for HOPE: Mike Vest Geri Derner… Read More »RWPE #37 – Hope

Andree Jauhari

Never the Same River Andree also considered these other two pictures: Andree followed his “I pick so and so” paragraph with a lengthy dissertation on MegaShark vs. Giant Octopus. Can you guess why we are friends?

Jesse Howard

I think most of you know that I have strange ways of picking pictures for photo contests. I think the most interesting way is how I “pick” the pictures for the Pufferbilly Days Photo Contest. In fact, I don’t pick the pictures at all. I have 6 individuals each pick… Read More »Jesse Howard

CLU’s Holiday

After the massacre, President Grover Cleveland made reconciliation with unions a top political priority. Making Labor Day a national holiday was his form of reconciliation. I celebrated Grover… Read More »CLU’s Holiday

Coiffure

On Sunday I got together with Shannon to take pictures of her new haircut. Lots of these pictures don’t show off the new do, but they were taken at the same time. Shannon also did some turtle wrangling for me on a Personal Photo Project that will be published sometime… Read More »Coiffure

RWPE #35 – Viewpoint

Perhaps the Random Weekly Photo Experiment has begun to run its course. There were zero submissions this week. I guess it will just have to soldier on for the last 17 weeks. Here is the lone picture for VIEWPOINT. Christopher D. Bennett The Random Generator has generated the theme for… Read More »RWPE #35 – Viewpoint

Catharsis

I witnessed something so shocking on Tuesday night that after I got over the initial numbness, I reached out to some close friends who helped guide me through the mental issues that I was having to overcome. I should state to clear my good name and recriminate Nader, it was… Read More »Catharsis

Slice of Life Vol. 13

I have been scanning slides for the last 11 weeks. This week I’ve switched over to prints, so I’m guessing you will note a notable improvement in the quality of the scans.

RWPE #34 – Food

I had a submission for last week’s theme from Becky Perkovich, but during some computer swapping it has been temporarily lost, but I’ll post it as soon as I am able to locate it. Here are the other submissions for FOOD: Dawn Krause Christopher D. Bennett Mike Vest Julie Johnson… Read More »RWPE #34 – Food
