All the Bennetts were actually here for Thanksgiving this year, so we had to get a picture!
It might be the last chance to get a picture like this for a bit. With Alexis leaving for the Navy. Elainie already in the Navy. Logan getting ready to graduate from Iowa State University. But hopefully it isn’t!
On the Monday before Halloween the Eastern Star Home’s residents hand out candy to trick-or-treaters. My Mom helps coordinate volunteers from our church to help the residents that need it.

This week’s Personal Photo Project was to send take a picture to send out with my Merry Christmas text messages. Maybe next year my ambition will grow to full on Christmas card and Christmas letter parody, but it probably won’t.
If you are curious, this picture was taken in the room where we take communion following the first Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve at my church.

This would be the second time that I’ve tried to photograph a piece of fruit blowing up with mixed results. It will not be the last.
Next week’s Personal Photo Project will probably involve a flower.
If I would have sent out any Valentine’s texts this year, this would have been the base image. I hope it is apparent that this is supposed to be a heart, but this picture has a few things going against it:
1. I’m terrible at drawing.
2. This is my first experiment with making napalm.
3. Fire isn’t the easiest medium to draw with.
Only one more personal photo project left and I’ll be caught back up with personal photo projects!
2012 was very special Christmas for my family. After a 2011 where we didn’t really celebrate Christmas.
I didn’t take many pictures, but I took a few.
On a personal note, I’m very proud that my nephews have followed my example by continuing a family tradition of growing awesome facial hair!
