Once again I guessed wrong on when to make my annual trip to Pella. Not only was next to nothing blooming, the lighting wasn’t ideal. However, I still think I put in some work.

In addition to the flower calendar that was for sale last year, I made a small run of the traditional Merry Christmas calendars. The remainder of the Merry Christmas Calendars will be distributed on the morrow, so I don’t think their is any harm in sharing those images at this time.

This week’s Personal Photo Project is really more of a collection of flowers that I have photographed, but don’t make a point to photograph their species. Although some of this fit into the category of photographed after I had already published the series of that particular species.

I don’t think I need to go into detail about how moonflowers are my favorite flowers, but it should be noted that I had a weird crop of moonflowers this year. They didn’t flourish in their normal area, but they did do okay. A giant moonflower grew in about the most inconvenient spot imaginable, but I let it be, since it was a moonflower.
