Wise men say
Only fools, only fools rush in
Oh, but I, but I, I can’t help falling in love with youShall I stay?
Would it be, would it be a sin?
If I can’t help falling in love with youLike a river flows
Surely to the sea
Darling, so it goes
Some things, you know, are meant to beTake my hand
Take my whole life too
For I can’t help falling in love with you
For I can’t help falling in love with you-WRITTEN BY HUGO PERETTI, LUIGI CREATORE, & GEORGE DAVID WEISS

I watched PRISCILLA on Monday night and now I’m in a bit of an Elvis mood. Even though Elvis doesn’t necessarily come across great in the movie, I don’t think he comes off completely terrible. I think Elvis has demons, we all do, and his got the better of him because I think after his mom passed away, I don’t think he had anybody in his life to act as a moral compass. It might have been Priscilla, but there were too many other factors pulling him in too many other directions. I think Elvis’ life was a tragedy. A true Shakespearean tragedy.
The positive is he left so much great music behind. I don’t know that “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is my favorite Elvis song, but I bet it is a Top 10 song for me.
The song was written in 1961 for the album “Blue Hawaii” and was featured in the movie by the same name. The B-Side was “Rock-A-Hula Baby”. For a long time it was the song Elvis closed his concerts with. It was the last song Elvis performed live at his final concert in Indianapolis on June 26, 1977. He died less than 2 months later at the age of 42.
But Thursdays are for flowers! Today’s flowertography collection was taken in my yard:

Can you believe it! It is almost flowertography season!
