Hey! So whatcha doin’ next Wednesday night?
Let me tell you what you should be doing! You should come to the First United Methodist Church in Boone and join us for our Youth Group. That Wednesday’s Youth Group will be a little different than most nights.
#1. It will be open to the entire community. It is always open to the youth of the community, but this time it is open to adults as well.
#2. We will be having a potluck starting at 6 PM!
#3. At 7 PM we will be having former Iowa State basketball player and current Christian missionary Jake Sullivan speaking. I believe he will be speaking about his mission trips to Africa and his ministry there.
To put that information in another way:
It would be awesome to see many of you there! Next Wednesday. May 10th. Boone First United Methodist Church.
The church is getting new carpet in the sanctuary. Last Sunday some members of the youth group removed the old carpet. Here are a few photos:
Having the Youth Group remove the carpet saved the church nearly a thousand dollars!
Easter was a big day (naturally) at our church for the Youth Group. They starred in the Sonrise Service. Served Egg Bake between the Tradition and Contemporary Worship Services. They ran an Easter Egg Hunt.

Last night at Youth Group, as we were finishing up our re-writing of the Ten Commandments we had a special guest. Teresa brought her new pooch Mocha for the kids to play with and to illustrate a point about coveting.
