Team Baby Got Rack cutting up their award winning ribs at the Pufferbilly Days Barbecue Contest Their pork loin and chicken were also award winning, but their ribs were truly divine.
Bags at the Boone FUMC Block Party. I think this might have been the last year for the PET Obstacle Course. I guess I’ll wait and see.
Last week was a rougher week from a prediction standpoint. House and Scottie D. at the Pufferbilly Days Barbecue Contest Team Baby Got Rack placed third in all barbecue categories. Their ribs definitely deserved higher.
A zinnia from the Iowa State Fair In honor of Micky’s last day in Hardware, I thought I would post his favorite: FLOWER PORN.
In Week 1 Jason Baier had probably the greatest sports prognostication week of his life. Admittedly, Week 1 games are always pretty easy to pick, but he only missed ONE game. Shawn, Sara, G., and Cousin Amy at the DNR Building. Who doesn’t love ducks? Maybe Shawn.
Joe at his first State Fair! The poor guy needs to learn to pace himself. He was all tuckered out by 9 PM.
Naima prancing around the wading pool at 2 Dog Night Naima even once went into the big pool. It was by accident and she didn’t enjoy it, but it did happen.
Bethany light painting a sun. (Photo Assistant: DaeHee Yoon) I think this is the last of the light painting photos I will post, but you never know…
Joe, Sara, Shawn, G., Cousin Amy, and I at the Iowa State Fair Admittedly, the composition of this shot is a little wonky, but green screen beggars can’t be green screen choosers.
DaeHee’s light painting of a dog. (Photo assistant: Bethany Yoon) This is an in camera effect that I haven’t used for awhile. But I may have to crack out more often with any of my friends that think they can draw.
DaeHee and I at the Uptown Art Fair. (Photo by Bethany Yoon) Clearly DaeHee is better at the putting his melon through the cutout thing than I am.
Once a year the Mission Committee from my church organizes the 4-H Kids to bring animals to Boone’s nursing homes. The last 2 years, my Mom has been in charge of this endeavor.
