Why do people always put “No Trespassing” on sweet, sweet stuff? I guess this is the type of questions that would be answered by one of those inane Miller Fortune beer commercials.

Our friend Jay likes to talk about his concept of Money X sometimes. This would be a Money X purchase for me, to then give to Jesse. But maybe a few of us could get together, get a truck, and sneak over to Tama in the middle of the night… Read More »Photo of the Day 0073
Another rose from the State Center Rose Garden. I missed the sweet spot for this rose garden this year.
Yellow Rose from the State Center Rose Garden Jesse didn’t seem to know that this little gem existed. It may have been the highlight of his day.
The inside of this awesome castle type thing that Nate and I found on Vine Street. We really should have went inside of it and explored it but Nate was worried about being stabbed by homeless man, but we will return here some day.
Another look at giant shuttlecocks. Although I did enjoy some of the sculptures in Kansas City, the best sculpture garden I’ve ever seen is still in Des Moines. Go Cyclone State!
I think Nate actually did like this sculpture. … and really, what isn’t to like?
Sculpture from a Kansas City sculpture garden. This sculpture was one of my “must sees” when I went down to Lawrence to visit Nate. He was excited to stand outside in 97 degree heat looking at giant shuttlecocks.
The Gorshes preparing to represent Rieman’s Music After not being in a parade for close to 15 years, I was in 2 parades in 6 days. Not sure if that momentum will keep going.
Flood My belief is that after the United States lost to Belgium, Ames hopped off the soccer bandwagon, flooded the fields and inquired, “Water polo anyone?”
Shawn protecting his progeny during a brief bit of precipitation during Ogden Fun Days. Further proof that he is bona fide. It is a good thing for a man to be… bona fide.
Evie after knocking down a blue raspberry Tropical Sno. I’ve always viewed the drip catcher to be a purchase of suckers, but for Evie, it was a necessity.
Layla enjoying a drink during Ogden Fun Days. This picture slightly reminds me of a picture my Dad took of Teresa sucking down a Boyd’s malt back in the day.
Ogden Fun Days Parade Fun While it was fun riding in the Ogden Fun Days Parade, I do feel our lack of candy was a failure.
Sarah and Shawn’s Tiramisu Cheesecake created for the 1st Annual Methodist Men Pie/Cheesecake Auction When Eldon brought the idea of a pie auction up to me as a possible fundraiser to help pay for our broken down organ I was a little bit leery. As President of the Methodist Men,… Read More »Photo of the Day 0051
Becca in the wind. It was a sunny and windy day, you know, a perfect day for a wedding.
Bear feeling Becca Jr. Becca Jr. is actually a boy and won’t be named Becca Jr.
Shorty, Becca, and James before the wedding. Shorty was James’ Best Man. A wise choice.
Naima and a stick. Been getting hammered lately. Not literally. Not alcoholically. But hopefully I get caught up again some time soon.
Windmill north of Boone. Not the definitive picture of this subject. Kind of a test run. Assist on this photo by Jesse.
Mom and Annie after walking the Survivor’s Lap with Miss Iowa. Although it wasn’t a traditional Friday Night Supper Club, it was still a pretty excellent Friday Night Supper Club.
