The journey to taking the picture for Page 68 of THE PHOTO JOURNAL PROJECT is one that came completely out of nowhere. I certainly didn’t see it coming. I don’t think anybody saw it coming. It all started when I got home from Youth Group a couple weeks back and… Read More »A Photo Journal – Henry Carroll – Page 68
The most recent filter I have tested from the super cheap filter kit was the green filter. We gave her a hug. Loaded back up in the rental and left Waco profoundly changed in a way that is hard to figure. My best guess is that it would be the way you would change if you saw the Vietnam War Memorial with a veteran of the Vietnam… Read More »Alamo Bowl Road Trip: Alamo Bowl
Another Throwback Thursday. Throwing it back to pictures I took at the 2006 Iowa State Fair. These picture never appeared in “An Artist’s Notebook”. While I was preparing to write this entry I went down a rabbit hole on the origins of the term “swan song”. I have heard the term many times, but never really understood what it meant. Apparently there is a belief dating back to ancient Greece that swans stay mostly… Read More »The Proverbial Swan Song

I would say that ART was about an average week for participation rates. I figured it would be a higher theme, but it was only average. C’est la vie! Hopefully some people made New Year’s Resolutions to get more ART in their lives, but of course, I am biased. But… Read More »WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE – WEEK 174 – ART
